Electron impact mass spectrometry of some (E) diaza and azastilbene derivatives

ABSTRACT:

The mass spectral fragmentation of various 4'-methoxy or 4' hydroxy substituted (E)diaza and azastilbenes is discussed. It has been found that the position of the nitrogen atom in the heterocyclic ring significantly affects their fragmentation pattern.
