ABSTRACT: | ||
This paper describes the early days of mass spectrometry in Central Europe. The author initiated tracer studies, analysis of solids and the cluster research in Budapest. In Prague, Cermak studied ion–molecule reactions and Vladimír Hanuš became the leading expert in organic and biochemical mass spectrometry. | ||
Keywords: Isotope tracers, isotope chemistry, geology and biology, small clusters, multiply charged ions, high accuracy mass measurements. |
